Prior to entering clinical training at the end of the second semester, the student must have a current CPR card, lab coat, background check/drug screen and malpractice insurance coverage. The cost of insurance for the entire program is approximately $25.00. CPR training is available from theSan Diego Chapter of the American Heart Association, and hospitals and clinics throughout the San Diego area.
To enhance the quality of instructional programs and assist students in achieving their academic goals, Student Services, in addition to its 招生, 太阳城娱乐, and Counseling departments, provides the following services: Assessment, 书店, Career Planning, Disabled Students Services, EOPS, Health Services, Re-Entry Center, Tutoring and Student Affairs (Associated Students of Grossmont大学). All new students are encouraged to attend one of the New Student Advising Sessions. For more information contact the Grossmont大学 Counseling Center.

For information and applications for Grossmont大学 scholarships for nursing and health science students, visit the above website and look under "Scholarships" or visit the 太阳城娱乐 Office. There are two brief application periods for these scholarships, one at the beginning of the fall semester and one at the beginning of the spring semester. Applicants are always needed for the ASGC 书店 awards offered each semester. In addition to Grossmont's scholarships listed on the above website, there are scholarship databases on line that can be accessed through the above scholarship page. These databases allow you to perform an interactive search on line. Scholarship workshops are offered at the beginning of each semester to help you learn more about scholarships. The dates and times for the workshops are listed on the website and are available from the 太阳城娱乐 Office.
The total cost to complete the full two years of the program is approximately $5,000. Following is an estimated breakdown of the costs:
Grossmont大学 is part of the California Community College system and requires an enrollment fee for all students, payable at the time of registration. All students are also required to pay a health fee. A parking fee will be charged to students using the parking facilities. Check the current class schedule for other costs (Health Fee, Student Benefit Card, Parking Fee, etc.) that may be incurred each semester as fees are subject to change from semester to semester depending on State Legislature. A Student Benefit Card is optional. Students are required to purchase their own textbooks and supplies. 太阳城娱乐 is available to students who qualify. 联系 the Financial Aid Office, 644-7129.
