地质

地质 is rocks! But it’s so much more than rocks... and earthquakes, and fossils, and volcanoes. It’s also field trips... and dinosaurs... and it’s the study of natural resources such as water, oil, minerals, and polluters. It’s also the mitigation of Earth’s natural hazards such as faults, landslides, debris flows, and tsunamis. 地质 explores these topics in the past, to confront the challenges of the present, to plan for a better future... in the face of resource extraction, climate change, and sustainability.
