地质 is rocks! But it’s so much more than rocks... and earthquakes, and fossils,
and volcanoes. It’s also field trips... and dinosaurs... and it’s the study of
natural resources such as water, oil, minerals, and polluters. It’s also the mitigation
of Earth’s natural hazards such as faults, landslides, debris flows, and tsunamis.
地质 explores these topics in the past, to confront the challenges of the present,
to plan for a better future... in the face of resource extraction, climate change,
and sustainability.

We offer a local Associate of Science (AS) degree, and an Associate of Science for
Transfer Degree in 地质. These degrees can be earned in 4 semesters if you are
a full-time student and prepare you for transfer to a four-year institution.
