Lester Bangs Walk 的 Fame plaque布鲁克Binkowski is this year’s featured guest presenter for the annual Lester Bangs Memorial Reading, which honors influential music 记者, author, musician, 莱斯特的刘海。 Bangs, an El Cajon native and Grossmont大学 alumnus, is considered one 的 the most influential voices in rock criticism and is widely credited for coining the terms "punk" and "heavy metal.” Born in Escondido, California, Bangs and his mother moved to El Cajon when he was eleven years old. Students are selected by 创意写作 instructors to perform original works 的 诗人ry, fiction, non-fiction, drama, hybrid forms.The latest issue 橡子审查, Grossmont大学’s own student-operated literary arts journal, will also be available for sale at the event.
