This year, as 我们的 College also marks its sixtiethyear of excellence,we'reproud to look back upona quarter century of Literary Arts Festivals that brought dozens of award-winning poets and writers to 我们的 campus. These events have created one-of-a-kind opportunities for 我们的 students and community members to experienceliteraturebeyond the page, hear it as relevant, living expression,and have meaningful dialogue with a celebrated author in person—often for their first time.
Numerousfriends, faculty,deans and administrators, campus services, and, of c我们的se, students, deserve 我们的 thanksfor their role in making thesepast twenty-five years so memorable. However, with the hindsight of six decades now, certain Department colleaguesstand apart as consequential, not onlyfor their part in theemergence of我们的创意写作 Program, but alsofor their many labors of love in contribution toa critical massthat would one day ignite the tradition of the annual Literary Arts Festival. Wesalute andcherisheach one of them.
