The program promotes academic achievement, social integration and personal growth.
Participating students will be well connected to faculty, staff and other Griffin
students.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education under the Office of Post-secondary Education, the Title V Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) grant is composed offive supporting components: (1) Outreach;(2)Strengthening Placement; (3) Accelerated Math andEnglish efforts; (4) 第一年经验 Program; and (5) Professional Development.At Grossmont College, the HSI Title Vgrant has developed the 通过Rapida 第一年经验 (VR FYE) Program. The program is inclusive of all first-time freshmen that have submitted the FAFSA or DREAM application andhas a focus on Hispanic and low-income (HLI) student populations, providing academic and social support through an array of activities and services. Aligned with the institutions' strategic plan, 通过Rapida, through its goals and objectives, works to enhance the encompassing college experience for HLI students and increasing college enrollment, retention, persistence, and completion.
